“Vibrant use of colour and simplicity in composition, combined with inquisitive details form the basis of my work.”


I am an Irish artist living and working in County Wicklow, Ireland. My current body of work  is an exploration of complex patterns emerging from worn textured surfaces, a distillation of what calls me to dive in deeper. 

My deconstructed geometric style is an exploration of identity, in response to a physical space, with a particular focus on the ancient Amazigh culture of Northern Morocco and Andalucian Moorish cultures of Southern Spain.


Following an artist residency and collaborative programme I participated in Tetouan, Northern Morocco, I spent time engaging with a community of artisans and artists researching and absorbing the Amazigh culture and aesthetics of exquisite architecture, hand made zelliges (geometric patterned tiles), hand carved plaster (ceps) and wood (Thuya), and intricately woven rugs displaying tattoo symbols of the ancient Berber nomads.


Having worked in the IT industry for many years, I returned to college as a mature studen in 2015 to study Visual Art at the National College of Art and Design, Ireland. I continued my art studies having completed the Creative Visionary Programme Masterclass with Nicholas Wilton in 2019.
My past experience working with Sculptural Fibre art mediums continue to inform the many layered surfaces of my paintings. I have exhibited in group and solo shows in Ireland, Finland, Sao Paulo and Morocco.

My work has been recognized with awards and commissions, demonstrating my skills and creativity. From celebrating the life and poetry of W.B. Yeats to contributing to group exhibitions at prestigious venues like the National Botanical Gardens and the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland, my portfolio reflects a deep engagement with my craft and a commitment to artistic expression.
