This painting is part of a series of works inspired by the ancient architecture and landscapes of Northern Morocco and the Al Andalus region of Spain, known as a centre for the arts, medicine, science, music, literature and photography. I feel very at home in this region, finding endless inspiration in these rich cultures, in particular the exquisite geometric patterns handcrafted through the centuries.
